Sunsinger Builds

PvE Builds

There are two main roles this build has. Preventing enemies from recovering shields, and helping teammates use their abilities more often. Using Radiance in front of a group of foot enemies or cannon fodder allows you to rack up melee kills and begin generating orbs of light at a rapid pace, where Flame Shield will prevent dying from the close range. At the same time, Song of Flame allows reduced cool-downs for your teams grenades and melee attacks, and therefore your super can lower all three of your teams abilities. Combining that with Touch of Flame will give DOT to enemies, making their shields stay down while your team gets the finishing blow.

PvP Builds

1. Firebolt Grenade, Radiant Skin, Flame Shield, Touch of Flame and Viking Funeral

  • When in radiance spam your firebolts and finish people off with your primary. Try to get a melee kill as it will give you a flame shield and the melee will be a one shot. You can usually kill bladedancers too if you have the shield with a grenade, shotgun and melee combo.

Recommended Stats

Recommended Gear

Some recommended gear for Sunsinger are exotics (ex. Light Beyond Nemesis) that cause you to generate many orbs of light, or up your super ability, which could be great in the crucible and working with teammates in story, strikes, raids, etc.

Mechanical Notes

Damage over Time effects are incapable of triggering other effects. This has negative implications towards certain class upgrades. For example, Brimstone is triggered by killing an enemy with Scorch. However, only the initial damage counts for the kill - the Damage over Time effect from Scorch's Ignite will not trigger Brimstone. Similarly, Solar Grenade's damage comes in two parts, a small initial damage burst and a Damage over Time effect in the area. Only enemies caught in the initial burst will trigger the Touch of Flame upgrade.
