• Released after House of Wolves expansion, but players without the expansion can also acquire the item.

• Obtained in The Prison of Elders, Trials of Osiris, Nightfall Strikes and reaching Rank 3 and 5 with Iron Banner.

Used For

• Unlocks Ascend perk for Legendary weapons and armor. Ascend perk increases weapons to the highest Attack (365). It increases armor to the highest light and Defense. Note that perks and experience earned on the gear do not reset after upgrading.
