Runes are consumable items used to activate various difficulties of enemies in Court of Oryx Public Event. The player who sacrifices the rune and activate the event will obtain better rewards than the other participating players.

Runes are found around Destiny or purchased from Eris Morn. A Tier 2 rune is unlocked when the player completes 3 Tier 1 events. A Tier 3 rune is unlocked when the player completes 3 Tier 2 events.
