Reputation are points players can earn with various factions in Destiny. By earning reputation points with factions, players can rank up with the factions to unlock unique purchasable items and receive Faction Packages. Players can earn reputation points by completing various tasks for the factions.
Reputation Ranks
After unlocking all the purchasable items and achieving rank 3, each further reputation rank up will earn the player a faction package.

Nightfall Bonus
Completing Weekly Nightfall Strike will give the player an additional 25% reputation points earned for the rest of the week. The bonus resets every Tuesday at 9AM PST.
Types of Reputations
Crota's Bane - Complete Eris Morn Bounties and The Dark Below Quests.
Crucible Reputation - Awarded by playing in The Crucible and completing Crucible Bounties. Unlocks more powerful gear for purchase.
Crypto-Archaeology Reputation - leveled up by decoding Engrams at the Cryptarch.
Dead Orbit Reputation - Earned by completing Bounties with a Dead Orbit cloak, mark or bond equipped.
Disciple of Osiris - Competing in Trials of Osiris for rep. Speak to Brother Vance for rewards.
Future War Cult Reputation- Earned by completing Bounties with a Future War Cult cloak, mark or bond equipped.
Gunsmith Reputation - Kill enemies with Field Test Weapons and complete Gunsmith Quests to earn reputation. Increase Gunsmith ranks unlock Armsday Order that delivery Legendary Weapons every Wednesday.
House of Judgement - Defeat enemies in The Prison of Elders for rep. Talk to Variks for rewards.
Iron Banner Reputation - Awarded by completing Iron Banner Bounties. Unlocks powerful gear for purchase.
New Monarchy Reputation - Earned by completing Bounties with a New Monarchy cloak, mark or bond equipped.
Queen's Wrath - Earned by completing Wanted Bounties and House of Wolves Story Missions and Quests. Speak to Petra Venj for rewards.
Vanguard Reputation - Awarded by completing Vanguard Bounties. Unlocks more powerful gear for purchase.
