Nightfall is a Difficulty Modifier for Story Missions and Strikes. In Nightfall if all the members in your fireteam gets wiped out (everyone in your team dies), you are automatically sent back to the orbit. You will have to start the Story Mission or Strike again, from the beginning.

  • This "hardcore" mode can cause wipes on tough encounters to be very devastating.
Try to bring Bladedancer with Cloaking abilites or Sunsinger with Fireborn to prevent wipes.
