Taking place in Hall of Souls in [[The Dreadnaught]], Court of Oryx is dictated by the players. Count of Oryx is divided into 3 tiers of difficulty. Tier 1 consist of level 36 [[enemies]], Tier 2 consist of level 41 enemies and Tier 3 consist of level ?? enemies (Recommended Light of 300). Players can determine the difficulty tier of the battle by sacrificing different [[runes]] into different shrines. Court of Oryx is a type of Public Event released in The Taken King. Unlike other Public Events, Court of Oryx allows the players to pick their own difficulties and summon their own bosses.

Tier 1 has recommended Light score of 190, Tier 2 has recommended Light score of 240 and Tier 3 has recommended Light score of 300. Players can determine the difficulty tier of the battle by sacrificing different runes into different shrines. Because each difficulty tier has various boss encounters, players will receive one selected at random from that tier. Each boss has its own unique mechanic. Players will receive clues on how to defeat the boss and complete the encounter. Players also need to complete the event within a timer.

Players can obtain runes around the Dreadnaught. The player that sacrificed the rune to the statue will receive better rewards than other players just participating. That player cannot sacrifice another rune for 40 seconds after the completion of the event. Note that you Do Not lose the rune if you fail Court of Oryx event.

Tier 1 Difficulty

Easiest difficulty, has Recommended light score of 190,. Level 36 enemies, ideal for immediately finishing The Taken King Story Missions.

Name Type Mechanic Strategy
Vorlog 1 Hive Knight Everytime Vorlog's shield goes down, it changes into a different element, Arc, Solar or Void. Have weapons with different Damage Types.
Cra'adug, Mengoor 2 Hive Knights You have to get them near each other to take away their shields. If they are far away from each other, their shields make them invulnerable. After 1 Knight is dead, the other Knight's shield disappears.
Alzok Däl, Gornuk Däl, Zyrok Däl 3 Hive Wizards You have to kill all 3 wizards at the same time. If you only kill 1 wizard, it will respawn after a short time if the other 2 are still alive. Damage them evenly, get all of them low, then kill them.
Krughor 1 Hive Ogre The Ogre will only lose its invulnerable shield when an Cursed Thrall do damage to it. Players will have some time to damage the Ogre after each shield down.
Bracus Horu'usk 1 Taken Centurion Bracus has an invulnerable shield that goes down when all of its minions are dead. Players will have some time to damage the Centurion before its shield comes back up.

Tier 2 Difficulty

Tier 2 has recommended Light score of 240. Tier 2 features bosses from Tier 1. Instead of fighting them 1 set at a time, players will battle 2 sets at a time. The sets are chosen randomly.

Tier 3 Difficulty

Boss fight in which you need to kill Eyes to get a stacking damage buff, and then kill an ogre, and then as soon as the ogre dies you have to all stack as much damage as you can and kill the Wizard before the ogre respawns????
