Pulse Rifles are burst-firing Primary Weapons in Destiny. Pulse Rifles are accurate and effective at mid to long range.

Play Style

Three-round burst only, with significant recoil. The recoil is such that multiple bursts are needed to kill an opposing player (1 of 3 shots in each burst might hit the head). I found a Pulsar MSM with a Full Auto special property (still fires in bursts, but holding down the trigger keeps firing the weapon) on my Hunter, but the recoil made it unwieldy. Hard to recommend over the more controllable Auto Rifles.

Pulse Rifle Tips

When aiming with your Pulse Rifle, do not aim for the head, instead aim at your enemy's chest. As your fire a burst of shots, your barrel will climb with recoil and your final shots will hit the head of enemy.
