There are currently 4 types of coins: Strange Coins are used for purchase Exotic gear from Xur, Passage Coins are used to purchase Trials of Osiris buffs from Brother Vance, Osiris Coin is used in An Unknown Patron Exotic Weapon Bounty and Easter Egg Coins are found around Tower as Easter eggs.
