Ascendant Shard is a Legendary Material. It is used to Upgrade Defense for Legendary Armor.

Obtained By

  • Awarded for getting Gold medal rank in Public Event. You are only guaranteed to obtain a Ascendant Energy or Ascendant Shard once per day. The reward is mailed to your Postmaster. Additional Gold medal completions of Public Event has a small chance of granting a Ascendant Shard.
  • Dismantling Legendary and Exotic weapons and armor. Note that if un-leveled Legendary and Exotic weapons yield 2-3 shards each. Fully leveled weapons yield 5-6 shards each (you do not need to fully upgrade them).
