Obtained By
- Awarded for getting Gold medal rank in Public Event. You are only guaranteed to obtain a Ascendant Energy or Ascendant Shard once per day. The reward is mailed to your Postmaster.
- Daily Heroic Mission, the level 24 one will reward you with 1 Ascendant Shard or Energy and the level 28 one will reward you with 2.
Used For
- It is a material used to unlock Upgrade Defense for Legendary and Exotic Armor. Upgrade Defense will increase the Defense and Light stats of the armor.
