Titan Armor Concept

Titan is the tanky class of Destiny. Tank has two subclasses Striker and Defender. Striker is the offensive and solo-oriented subclass while Defender is the defensive and group-oriented subclass.

You are an armored engine of war. Control any battle with strength and strategy.

General Information

Striker is the arc subclass of the Titan. Striker is the damage dealing specialization of Titan. It excels in solo-play and close quarters combat. The Striker's super ability is the Fist of Havoc. When Fist of Havoc is activated, the Striker leaps forward and smashes the ground beneath them, dealing massive AoE damage to all enemies around them. The ability can also be combo'd with player's jump to launch the Striker forward, creating a living artillery shell that deals colossal amount of AoE damage as they land. Striker has the Flashbang Grenade that can blind and disorient enemies.

AftermathFist of Havoc leaves a damage-dealing field in its wake.
Death from AboveAfter jumping, Fist of Havoc can be aimed at enemies below.
ShockwaveFist of Havoc unleashes a wave of devastating energy which travels along the ground.

Storm Fist:

 Description
AmplifyKills with Storm Fist significantly reduce the cooldown of Fist of Havoc.
DischargeHits with Storm Fist have a chance to deal area of effect damage around the target.
OverloadHits with Storm Fist have a chance to immediately reset its cooldown.

Lift:

 Description
CatapultUpgrades Lift to provide a strong initial burst of momentum.
Increased ControlUpgrades Lift for better directional control while in the air.
Increased HeightUpgrades Lift to travel to greater heights.

Column 6:

 Description
AftershocksIncreases the duration of Pulse Grenade, Lightning Grenade, and Aftermath.
HeadstrongSprinting increases the leap distance of Fist of Havoc. Increases Agility by 1.
TransfusionKills with melee attacks immediately trigger health regeneration.

 Description
JuggernautAfter sprinting for a short time, gain a protective shield.
Shoulder ChargeAfter sprinting for a short time, press R1 or RB to unleash a devastating melee attack.
UnstoppableYou are harder to kill while using Fist of Havoc. Increases Armor by 1.

Striker Builds

1. Melee Build (Solo PvE/PvP): Flashbang Grenade/Lightning Grenade, Any Fist of Havoc perk, Overload, Titan Codex I, Transfusion, Titan Codex V, Shoulder Charge

2. Aftershocks Build (PvP/PvE): Lightning Grenade, Aftermath, Amplify, Titan Codex I, Aftershocks, Titan Codex V, Unstoppable.

  • This build allows the player to deal AoE Arc damage constantly. The most important stat is Intellect. Use The Armamentarium for double Lightning Grenades.

3. Death From Above Build (PvE/PvP): Flashbang Grenade/Pulse Grenade, Death From Above, Amplify, Titan Codex I, Headstrong, Titan Codex V, Unstoppable.

Recommended Stats

Discipline > Intellect > Strength

  • Good grenades, good super, poor melee attack

Recommended Gear

The Armamentarium gives you an extra grenade.

Ruin Wings for extra Heavy Ammo.

Defender is the defensive subclass of Titan. The Defender specializes in disabling enemies, buffing and protecting their allies. Their Super ability is Ward of Dawn. The ability creates a void shield that protects you and your allies while you are in it. It's Suppressor Grenade prevents enemies from using their abilities. The Defender's melee attack, Disintegrate, gives them another shield that absorbs incoming damage.

  • To unlock Defender, players must reach level 15 as a Striker.

Armor of LightWhile inside Ward of Dawn, you and your allies gain significant damage resistance.
Blessing of LightPassing through Ward of Dawn grants you and your allies a temporary shield.
Weapons of LightPassing through Ward of Dawn grants you and your allies a temporary increase to weapon damage.

Disintegrate:

 Description
Gift of LightWhile the shield created by Disintegrate is active, all of your melee kills have a chance to create Orbs of Light.

War MachineWhile Force Barrier is active, all your weapons reload and ready blindingly fast.

Defender Builds

PvE Builds

1. Orb Generation Build: Magnetic Grenade/Suppressor Grenade, Catapult, Blessing of Light, Gift of Light, Titan Codex II, Gift of the Void, Titan Codex IV and Iron Harvest.

  • This build is designed to generate as many Orbs of Light for your teammates as possible. Gift of the Void generates 3 orbs when your Ward of Dawn is attacked by enemy. Use Heavy Weapon and melee attacks to generate more obs.

2. Support Build: Magnetic Grenade/Suppressor Grenade, Catapult, Blessing of Light, Gift of Light, Titan Codex II, Bastion,Titan Codex IV and Illuminated.

  • This build is designed to support your fire team. Talk to your team before placing the Ward of Dawn. Helm of Saint-14 is a good piece of armor to have.

3. Melee Build: Magnetic Grenade/Suppressor Grenade, Catapult, Armor of Light, Unbreakable, Titan Codex II, Relentless,Titan Codex VI and Untouchable.

  • This is a tanky, melee build perfect for soloing. Fight in close range with melee and shotgun. Keep Force Barrier on you as much as you can. If you can't move back for a bit or use Ward of Dawn.

PvP Builds

Recommended Stats

Intellect > Discipline = Strength

  • Ward of Dawn is a powerful ability central to the kit of Defender.

Recommended Gear

Helm of Saint-14 blinds all enemies that enter Ward of Dawn. It is one of the best items for Defender.

The Glasshouse is ideal for buffing your allies.

Ruin Wings is good when used with Iron Harvest.

No Backup Plans is useful for a melee build.
