Agility is a stat that increases the player's Movement Speed and maximum jump height. A new Hunter character has 5 points in Agility while Titan and Warlock characters have only 1. Your base movement speed is 5 meters per second. Having high agility increases your movement speed to over 6 meters per second. Agility does not increase your sprint speed.
